Once a product is selected, all the resources and information for that product become available including a product description, full specification, product photos, videos, as well as a list of all supported protocols and standards. These include AES67 and SMPTE ST 2110 as well as control & discovery protocols such as mDNS, SAP, AES70, NMOS and more. There is also a link back to the manufacturer’s web page. The database is in constant evolution as new Ravenna products are added to the site as they are launched.
According to Ravenna evangelist Andreas Hildebrand, the database is another valuable tool for anyone looking to move to an IP workflow, or simply to keep abreast of the latest product developments, as it lists all specifically Ravenna-powered products in one place, searchable by product category and manufacturer. However, it should be noted that since Ravenna is natively compatible with AES67 and SMPTE ST2110, all Ravenna products can interoperate seamlessly with any of the 2000+ products on the market that support AES67 and/or SMPTE 2110.
