Belleson announced it will present the new Radiance phono preamplifier at Capital Audiofest 2024. According to the high-performance audio equipment manufacturer from South Carolina, the Radiance preamp is based on Brian Lowe's custom designed Top Amp circuit, in a single stereo phono input configuration, with exceptional low noise, and low distortion, allowing users the convenience of fine-tuning cartridge loading while listening to music, all remotely controlled via Wi-Fi.

"Designing a preamp is probably the most challenging engineering task in the audio chain, and many designers have invested a lot of time and effort in it," wrote Erno Borbely in this original 1985 article for the Audio Amateur. "My reason for designing this preamp is quite simple: I wanted to have a top-quality preamp without paying megabucks for a Levinson or Accuphase unit. It is up to you to decide whether or not I have succeeded in achieving the same quality." Following the announcement of the Phono Box RS2 reference class preamp, Pro-Ject has confirmed the launch in the North-American market of a series of phono products and accessories, some of which were released previously in Europe. Those included the Phono Box S2 Ultra discrete MM/MC phono preamplifier, the limited edition Phono Box Ultra 500 in polished chrome, and the Sweep It E and Sweep It S2 record brooms to clean vinyl while records are playing.
