Neutrik Fights Product Piracy and Announces Initiatives to Protect Its Patents and Trademarks

At the 2019 Prolight+Sound show in Frankfurt, Neutrik went on a determined offensive against product piracy. Following Neutrik’s request, police seized numerous products that clearly violate intellectual property rights. Moreover, extensive warnings to cease and desist have also been sent to the companies concerned and further legal action has already been launched by the famous manufacturer of professional connector products for audio and video.

Neutrik AG just launched the new mediaCON product family, promoted at recent shows like IBC in Amsterdam and AES New York. The new mediaCON series notably includes a robust, lockable USB Type-C cables and panel sockets, with all components designed for data rates up to 10 GB/s (USB 3.1), 100 W power and 10,000 mating cycles. No news yet of corresponding Thunderbolt 3 cables. But Neutrik also introduced the new TOP (True Outdoor Protection) series for all-weather applications, including etherCON, power and XLR connectors.

Steinberg Media Technologies announced the release of their latest USB 2.0 audio interface. The UR12 features 24-bit / 192 kHz audio quality, class compliant support for the iPad alongside a microphone input with D-PRE preamplifier, one high-impedance line input plus line outputs. The new entry-level USB audio interface includes a Cubase AI DAW software download license.
