NUGEN Audio Announces Updated Loudness Plugin VisLM 3

NUGEN Audio intends to expand its loudness metering efforts with significant innovations. The company will preview VisLM 3, the forthcoming version of its loudness metering plug-in, at the 2024 NAB Show (Booth SU2051). VisLM has long been the go-to solution for loudness metering and its new features will further benefit loudness workflows for studios, content producers and broadcasters.

Immersive sound software company DSpatial announced availability of the all-new Reality 2.0 software suite — available in four versions, VR, ONE, Studio, and Builder. This object-based production suite was specifically developed for Avid’s Pro Tools audio production software, and is now shipping in AAX format and supporting direct integration with Avid’s S6 console for mixing Dolby Atmos. The software workflow allows one single creative mix process for all delivery formats without downmixing.

Exponential Audio from Salt Lake City, UT, the company behind software plug-ins such as NIMBUS, R4 and PhoenixVerb, announced two brand new surround reverb plug-ins called Stratus and Symphony. The new reverbs address both an opportunity and a challenge - the ability to be more creative than ever before with post sound now offering new surround formats and yet the ongoing debate about intelligibility.

Responding to the needs of studios that have to deal with increasing numbers of multichannel and immersive formats, Yamaha Professional Audio announced the international release of its MMP1 Studio Monitor Management System. With advanced audio routing capabilities and DSP features that are ideally suited to configure and manage monitor environments from stereo up to complex immersive audio configurations, the MMP1 will play a major role in music and post production studios around the globe.

As reported back in July 2016, Australian technology development company Fairlight.AU was actively seeking a buyer for its Professional Audio technology and intended to focus on licensing its existing generic user-interface technologies. At IBC 2016, the largest company in broadcast and professional video technologies from Australia, Blackmagic Design, confirmed the acquisition, together with many other spectacular announcements.
