Nordic Semiconductor Offers Wireless Audio Solution for Battery-Powered High Quality Designs

Nordic Semiconductor has revealed that Yinzida Technology, a consumer electronics manufacturer, has designed a 2.4GHz wireless audio transmission module that enables high fidelity wireless audio in applications such as microphones, musical instruments or audio headsets. This out-of-the-box, lossless and stable wireless audio solution is ideal for battery-powered designs with zero-delay DSP pipeline, using Nordic's nRF52832 SoC in both transmitter and receiver.

Khadas is about to launch an interesting new Ultraslim headphone amplifier with high-resolution audio support for smartphones. The design will be compatible with Apple’s MagSafe (and all the copycat magnetic chargers that are about to arrive in the market), just clipping into to the back of an iPhone 12 or 13. The Khadas TEA features the high-performance ESS ES9281AC Pro DAC, as well as LDAC and aptX HD Bluetooth audio from a Qualcomm QCC5125 chip.

The solution charges two mobile devices simultaneously at up to 2x15 Watts using a single MWCT controller and supports all Qi wireless charging enabled phones including latest iPhone models, and products from Samsung, Huawei and others. Optional NFC is available for convenience features such as BLE/Wi-Fi pairing, smart car access with NFC, in-car purchases and NFC card damage protection.

NXP to Acquire Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Connectivity Assets from Marvell

NXP Semiconductors N.V. announced that its wholly owned subsidiary has entered into a definitive agreement with Marvell to acquire Marvell’s Wireless Connectivity portfolio in an all-cash, asset transaction valued at $1.76 billion. The acquisition encompasses Marvell’s Wi-Fi Connectivity Business Unit, Bluetooth technology portfolio and related assets. NXP expects the acquisition to create new revenue opportunities in its target end markets, including connected devices, automotive and communication infrastructure applications.
