Dirac Live Active Room Treatment Available to Select Denon and Marantz AVRs

Dirac announced that its Dirac Live Active Room Treatment (ART) solution, introduced in 2023, will be made available in select Denon and Marantz devices beginning in the second half of 2025. According to the Swedish digital audio processing company, the Denon and Marantz AVRs that currently already support Dirac Live Bass Control will be able to unlock the next-generation room correction capabilities.

Masimo to Sell Consumer Audio Business to Harman International

Masimo announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Sound United consumer audio business to Harman International, the company that is also a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, for an aggregate purchase price of $350 million in cash, subject to certain adjustments. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2025, subject to receiving necessary regulatory approvals.

Marantz Launches MODEL 10 Reference Integrated Amplifier

Marantz unveiled its new 10 Series Collection, which consists of three reference-quality high-end audio stereo products, all designed at the renowned Shirakawa Audio Works in Japan. The series will include the Reference SACD 10 player and the LINK 10n Reference Network Audio Player, which will be released later in 2024. For now, Marantz launched the MODEL 10 Reference Integrated Amplifier, which uses Purifi-licensed Class-D technology.

Sound United, parent company to Denon, Polk Audio, Marantz, Definitive Technology, HEOS, Classé, and Boston Acoustics, announced the immediate availability of MPEG-H 3D Audio format support across a wide range of home theater products.
