According to the Boston-based company, this new MEMS microphone is also the most robust and reliable for consumer products. Enabling widespread use of piezo microphones in applications such as smart speakers, headsets, hearables, TV remote controls, smart home appliances and smartphones (just to name a few), the VM3000 extends Vesper’s portfolio in consumer electronics.

Vesper Launches Ultra-High Acoustic Overload Point VM2020 Microphone for Smart Speakers

The world’s first MEMS microphone designed for loud environments is here. Vesper, a developer of advanced piezoelectric sensors, has just introduced the VM2020, an ultra-high acoustic overload point (AOP) differential analog output piezoelectric MEMS microphone. This is the first consumer product-ready in mass production, able to work in extremely noisy environments without distortion. The VM2020 is available in a standard form factor and package, such as smart speakers.

Among the many headphone-related announcements made at IFA 2018 in Berlin, Sennheiser finally entered the true wireless stereo (TWS) category with its new Momentum True Wireless earbuds. As the company states "These exquisitely crafted Bluetooth earphones bring the uncompromised audio performance and iconic style of the Momentum headphone range to a truly wireless form for the first time." The company's entry in the TWS space uses an updated Bluetooth 5 platform in what is otherwise a refined, understated design.
