Dialog Audio Supports Live Event Streaming Events to Paying Audiences

Audio performance tools developer Dialog Audio announced availability of its That’s Live streaming service — supporting bands, DJs, orchestras, or spoken word artists alike during the pandemic. Following the recent introduction of its all-in-one Live Audio streaming service, the German company decided to move into servicing live event streaming to paying audiences with no setup charges and no fixed costs involved, providing the technical infrastructure.

Mark of The Unicorn (MOTU) is an engineering-driven music technology company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, which sometimes forgets to tell the world they exist. TuneIn, a live global streaming and on-demand audio service, teamed up with Apple to offer listeners access to TuneIn’s more than 100,000 global radio stations on all Siri-enabled devices and Apple Music. This collaboration comes on the heels of Apple’s release of iOS13, which introduces a new radio experience to Apple devices – including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, CarPlay and HomePod.

Internet broadcasting and production are easier than ever with the new TASCAM MiNiSTUDIO series of personal audio interfaces, just announced by the Japanese brand, now part of the Gibson group. The series includes the TASCAM MiNiSTUDIO Personal US-32, an easily affordable solution for Internet broadcasting, and the MiNiSTUDIO Creator US-42, slightly larger unit with all the podcasting features of the MiNiSTUDIO Personal, adding a number of features that are ideal for more advanced audio and video production.

The International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) 2015 was widely agreed to be extremely successful. According to the promoters, the best yet (but they always say that). Measured in terms of conference content and quality of the event, we have to agree. It wasn’t the best for product announcements but it was certainly exciting for the technology previews.

At the IBC 2015 show there was a unique chance to compare how really efficient audio compression algorithms have become, from mp3 and ogg-vorbis to AAC, HE-AAC and the new xHE-AAC, optimized for speech and music transmission with very low bit rates. The Fraunhofer Institute For Integrated Circuits IIS together with Modulation Index promoted the demonstration.
