FLUX Introduces New SPAT Revolution Essential Software for Immersive Audio Production

FLUX Software Engineering, the audio software pioneers in plug-in design, analysis and immersive technologies, introduce SPAT Revolution Essential, a new and more affordable tool for creating immersive audio content. The new software combines the essential power of the SPAT Revolution immersive audio engine software, available starting at $199 as a perpetual license, as a subscription, or educational license.

Waves SuperRack is a flagship example of the company's leadership in both audio signal processing technologies and design of software tools that can be used both in the studio and live sound situations. Able to run up to 128 audio channels through multiple instances of Waves plugins with near-zero latency when running in a SoundGrid Audio-over-Ethernet network and a dedicated SoundGrid DSP server, Waves Audio now also announced native CPU processing support for Waves SuperRack.

Digital signal processing solutions specialists, Waves Audio announced the introduction of SoundGrid Connect, a game-changing feature of its SoundGrid driver. With SoundGrid Connect, users can connect any ASIO/Core Audio-compatible audio interface to SoundGrid technology and dramatically boost the capacity of their system – run hundreds of plugins simultaneously, stream audio, record and mix from multiple computers and DAWs at the same time, and more.

Waves Audio had much to show at the 137th AES Convention in Los Angeles, including many news to share regarding their plug-in range. But the focus for the company’s presence was undoubtedly their studio and live sound range of solutions, with continuous demos of the new SoundGrid Studio System and new DiGiGrid Advanced Audio Interfaces. Completely new was the Waves Tracks Live multitrack recording software.

Apogee Electronics is using the 137th AES Convention in Los Angeles - close to its headquarters in Santa Monica, California - to introduce the new Ensemble recording interface. The sucessor of the original Apogee Ensemble, released in 2007, is now a powerful 30x34 Thunderbolt 2 audio interface which Apogee says, at only 1.1ms, is the lowest round-trip latency performance available in any all-in-one audio interface.
