WiSA unveiled its WiSA SoundSend audio transmitter, the Association’s first branded product to hit the market since its inception. The SoundSend is an HDMI (or optical)-connected transmitter designed to make wireless multichannel audio accessible in minutes to nearly every smart TV. SoundSend allows for instant transmission of smart TV content to WiSA Certified speakers for a true cinema sound experience at home without speaker wires. The product will be available for purchase in November of 2020 and will retail for $179 US MSRP.

In this article, Vance Dickason measures the Radian Audio Engineering's LT6 Horn-Loaded Ribbon Device, part of an expanding series designed by 35-year loudspeaker engineering veteran Igor Levitsky for the Californian manufacturer. The LT6 is a pro sound driver but was designed to be a more hi-fidelity substitute for 1" compression drivers, and that is a direct result of Levitsky extensive experience in designing high-end residential, and cinema sound systems. JBL Professional Debuts Cinema Expansion Series Line for Small- to Midsize Theaters

News from Northridge, confirm that JBL Professional is back to products with the debut of its Cinema Expansion Series sound systems for small to medium-size commercial theaters. The line, which includes JBL 3153 and 4253 3-way screen-channel loudspeakers, 3181F and 4281F subwoofers and 8102 surrounds, is said to deliver the highest SPLs in its class and be able to cover rooms up to 85 feet (26 m) deep and up to 40 feet (12 m) wide. The company also debuted the 2-channel, 1,300-watt Crown XLC 21300 amplifier, which supports Cinema Series speakers in a range of system configurations.
