Sennheiser Enhances the Sound Experience in the New Morgan Plus Four

April 26 2024, 00:35
Sennheiser Mobility continues its partnership that started with the Morgan Plus Four introduced in 2022, now with the latest Morgan Plus 4 Model. Sennheiser contributed with an upgraded sound experience with new technology to the latest Plus Four. The new Sennheiser audio system features a series dynamic and technological enhancements, intensified to contribute to the immersive driving experience.

The latest Morgan Plus Four combines the company’s signature blend of industry-leading craftsmanship and engineering honesty to create the purest expression of the four-wheeled Morgan sports car available today. Proudly continuing the legacy of Morgan Motor's longest-running nameplate, the latest Plus Four features a series of design improvements, informed by over 70 years of evolution.

Sennheiser's enhanced audio system in the Plus Four now works with actuators in the cockpit and underneath both seats as well as higher-specified conventional speakers in the doors, complementing the pre-existing layout while providing a handily improved auditory experience for driver and passenger alike. The Sennheiser tuning creates the magical illusion of a broad sound stage in front of the passengers, adding to the joy of driving the Plus Four. The new audio system also provides an even greater range of volume and increased Bluetooth range.

The Sennheiser logo is featured on speaker grilles, maintaining an aesthetic consistency with the vehicle's design. The grille design is inspired by the characteristic louvres present in each Plus Four bonnet.

Another key consideration in the design of this audio system is usability. In the Plus Four, Sennheiser allows drivers to pause and skip tracks using the existing volume control dial, mitigating the need for additional switches. The meaningful integration of visual feedback via the LCD screen means that the volume display and track ID are easy to check at a glance.

The car itself remains a timeless design, with design changes mainly including new lighting, wings, front splitter, rear diffuser, and mirrors, staying true to the spirit of the original. A new Dynamic Handling Pack has been extensively developed and tested, further enhancing the engaging driving dynamics of Plus Four. Implementing the Sennheiser audio system, the interior lighting also helps to improve usability

The new Morgan Plus Four stays true to the ethos of the original model launched in 1950, maintaining the core appeal and delicate proportions yet reimagined for today. The Plus Four is now available in an almost endless combination of colourways and material options, ensuring that every vehicle is as individual as its owner.

The new Morgan Plus Four is available to order now, with the first models going into production in May 2024. Prospective clients can expect to test drive a new Plus Four at UK and European dealerships starting from June, and are encouraged to register interest with their nearest Morgan dealership or through the official Morgan website.

Morgan is currently working with the United States authorities to achieve homologation for the new Plus Four. Whilst there are no timescales for entry, the company is in advanced stages of approvals and is confident it will meet all requirements. This will be the first four-wheeled Morgan to achieve homologation in the United States since 2006.
