Seltech and Syntiant Announce Global Strategic Collaboration

January 30 2025, 00:35
Seltech and Syntiant have entered into a global strategic collaboration agreement to accelerate the deployment of advanced AI and sensor technologies worldwide. Following the acquisition of Knowles’ Consumer MEMS Microphones (CMM) business by Syntiant, and as a former distributor and integrator of Knowles MEMS microphones, Seltech expands its partnership to include Syntiant’s edge AI products, creating a comprehensive portfolio of acoustic and sensor solutions for customers across various industries.

This collaboration will enable customers to benefit from an end-to-end acoustic chain, combining Seltech’s expertise in acoustic and sensor integration with Syntiant’s Neural Decision Processors and MEMS microphone technologies. The joint effort will provide innovative, energy-efficient solutions for connected devices, consumer electronics and industrial applications, addressing the growing demand for reliable and high-performance AI-powered devices.

“We are excited by this collaboration that will bring the full acoustic chain to our customers, enabling them to design next-generation products with superior AI and sensor capabilities,” says Giulio Di Capua, Seltech General Manager.

“By combining our ultra-low-power, ready-to-deploy silicon and sensor technologies with Seltech’s design capabilities, we can help customers seamlessly integrate energy-efficient, high performance edge AI solutions into their products, enabling a faster time to market across a wide range of applications," adds Syntiant CEO, Kurt Busch.

Syntiant is now working on the integration of Knowles MEMS microphones and sensors with its range of Neural Decision Processors (NDPs), enabling artificial intelligence applications in edge devices with ultra-low- power consumption. This integration into Syntiant’s existing hardware-software capabilities will provide multiple industries with a complete edge AI audio solution that paves the way to complete new, cutting-edge applications.

Headquartered in Paris France, and with offices Raleigh, San Diego, Stockholm, Frankfurt, Nanjing, Shenzhen, Taipei and Singapore, Seltech is a recognized technology support and design partner. Acting as distributor and integrator for multiple audio technology brands, Seltech benefits from its team’s extensive experience in speakers, microphones and sensors. In China, Seltech offers fully equipped audio labs and an anechoic chamber to help its customers’ product design efforts.
