Universal Audio has been investing in advanced audio machine learning to improve its range of UAD plug‑in algorithms, and started a formidable effort to rethink the DAW-paradigm, with the launch of the LUNA recording suite.

"Sandeep is an experienced product and business leader, with a long track record of success at companies that have shaped the face of audio, music, and video," says Universal Audio founder and CEO, Bill Putnam Jr. "He immediately struck me not only as someone who deeply understands products, but also the culture of creators. With Sandeep onboard, UA is well‑poised for continued growth, delivering the world's very best music creation products."

"Putting music and entertainment into customers' hands is what I love to do, and I was amazed at the breadth of audio technology that Universal Audio has developed," says Gupta. "I'm thrilled to bring my expertise to such a revered company, to grow into exciting new areas, and to reach more people than ever before."

Universal Audio is a pioneer in audio and music production tools, with a rich 60‑year history of craftsmanship and innovation, headquartered in Scotts Valley, California,.
