Heralding the rebirth of two icons, Marshall revealed its latest Major V on-ear headphones with 100+ hours of wireless playtime and enhanced comfort, and the Minor IV true wireless earbuds, designed to be small in size, but big on sound. Rewriting the rulebook for what users expect from wireless on-ear headphones and entry-level TWS earbuds already supporting Bluetooth LE Audio, the Major V and Minor IV set new standards for the lifestyle brand.

“Created for music lovers who want to go harder and faster for longer,” and “prioritizing rock ‘n’ roll performance over complicated features”, as the company pitches its personal audio product range, both Major V and Minor IV feature the classic Marshall look and are built to withstand everyday wear and tear. A snug fit improves acoustic performance and allows for the Minor IV buds to be worn all day long, while making the earbud interaction customizable in the Marshall app. As for Major V, customization of the M-button means it's now possible to enable in-app features like Spotify tap, EQ switching and voice assistant.

The new Major V on-ear headphones ($149 USD) deliver the same Marshall signature sound, with improved 40mm dynamic drivers that reduce distortion, in a foldable design with improved ruggedness that will last longer and is easy to pack away and carry anywhere. Users can access their favorite features with the M-button and Marshall Bluetooth app. By pressing the M-script logo, Spotify Tap opens by default. Or users can go to the app to reconfigure the settings to access EQ presets or voice assistant. Apart from the longer battery, the headphones allow for 100+ hours of wireless playtime, 3 hours to fully recharge with USB-C, and Qi wireless charging support.

Using 12mm dynamic drivers, the Minor IV earbuds introduce an “expertly balanced sound that commands attention,” as Marshall describes it, allowing for 7 hours of wireless playtime and 30+ hours in the USB-C and Qi Wireless charging case. The Minor IV earbuds have a new earbud and stem design, angled to create a truer fit inside the ear canal, and they're also water-resistant. Thanks to the updated Bluetooth module, the Minor IV are better at taking calls, and can connect to multiple devices with Bluetooth multipoint connectivity. Users can also personalize the frequency response using Marshall’s dedicated app. This app allows users to activate a battery preservation feature to extend the lifetime of the earbuds, while also supporting over-the-air (OTA) updates.

Both the Major V headphones and the Minor IV earbuds are ready for Bluetooth LE Audio, which will improve the user experience significantly for those users currently constrained to using the default SBC codec.

“With Major IV we broke the mold with 80+ hours of playtime, but Major V go miles further by taking that total to 100+ hours,” says Martin Wennberg, Product Manager for Marshall headphones. “To honor the first pair of headphones we ever made, every detail has been painstakingly considered and refined for the fifth incarnation of Major - from their explosive sound to their iconic design.”
