January 16 2024, 00:35
Anticipating its presence at NAMM 2024, where Mackie will share a booth with Røde, following the recently announced acquisition, the Washington state company has unveiled a surprising number of new products. Among those are three new additions to the acclaimed ProFXv3 mixer series, expanding the lineup with creator-friendly technologies and features, such as USB recording modes, upgraded effects and Bluetooth.

A leading pro audio brand, recognized for its affordable, high-quality audio designs that always deliver on extra features, Mackie will unveil a total of eight new products, all available in early 2024. The diverse lineup includes some entirely new concepts, including Mackie's first foray into video, as well as updates to acclaimed products.

In classic Mackie style, these products are designed to make life easier for creative people, delivering professional results while inspiring them to perform at their best. The Mackie DLZ Creator XS is a compact, adaptive digital mixer for podcasts, YouTube, and live streaming. The Mackie MainStream is a compact streaming and video capture interface that integrates video, audio and stream control. Mackie ShowBox is a battery-powered all-in-one performance active speaker. Mackie MobileMix is a small audio mixer that runs on USB power. And finally, the Mackie ProFXv3+ is a series of professional analog mixers with USB-C audio interfaces, now adding powerful enhancements, combining the same Onyx preamps with computer audio loopback, and GigFX+ effects that can be accessed in a color LCD screen.

The new models include the ProFX6v3+ (6-channel), ProFX10v3+ (10-channel) and ProFX12v3+ (12-channel). All are low noise, portable designs that take the Mackie legacy even further, by adding a host of mixing tools for live sound, studio recording, and live streaming.

The Mackie ProFX6v3+, ProFX10v3+, and ProFX12v3+ mixers add switchable USB recording modes, bi-directional Bluetooth audio, and a beefed up new GigFX+ effects engine with twelve upgraded, customizable effects, including Mackie’s legendary EQ and one-button compression. The vibrant, full-color LCD screen enables users to easily see, edit, save, and instantly recall preset parameters on the fly.

The built-in 2x4 USB-C audio interface is 24-bit/192kHz capable which enables three different recording modes: the standard mode captures the full mix, including GigFX+ effects and EQ; the interface mode sends a clean mix with no effects or EQ, allowing users to continue their mix in a DAW software; and the loopback mode enables users to mix computer audio into their recording – ideal for video game streaming or playing music over backing tracks.

Although the rear of these new Mackie mixers doesn't contain any connections other than the USB-C interface, there’s a wide range of inputs to connect sources, including mic inputs featuring Mackie’s acclaimed Onyx mic preamps delivering up to 60dB of gain with ultra-low noise. There's also 48V phantom power, 100Hz low-cut filters, and Hi-Z switches to connect instruments, as well as stereo 1/8-inch aux inputs. Users can monitor via headphone output, using the blend knob to mix between the direct signal and their DAW output for latency-free monitoring.

A great addition is Bluetooth audio allowing users to bring backing tracks wirelessly from a phone, or patch in a caller for a live presentation or podcast, with Mix Minus monitoring to prevent callers from hearing an echo. To create a complete package, Mackie included the powerful Waveform OEM recording software and a series of essential plug-ins.
And of course, the new ProFXv3+ mixers series expands on Mackie’s legendary "Built-Like-A-Tank" construction, featuring solid steel chassis with ultra-tough ABS side protections. The new ProFXv3+ mixers will retail as follows:

ProFX6v3+: $249.99
ProFX10v3+: $329.99
ProFX12v3+: $419.99
