Lavoce Italiana is getting ready for one of its most important catalog expansions in the company's more than 30 years designing and manufacturing loudspeakers. Not only Lavoce will be distributing its latest 2019 Product Catalog, but they also have several exciting new drivers to show during Prolight+Sound 2019 in Frankfurt. Probably the most visible at their booth will be the new range of large voice coil, high power handling, 18” and 21” subwoofers. VC

All targeting professional audio applications, the three new large voice coil woofers, one using a ferrite magnet and two new neodymium models, will expand the high power options for low frequency cabinets with maximum impact.

First among the new models is the brand new SAF184.50, an 18” ferrite magnet subwoofer using a 4.5” in/out copper voice coil, with an 1800W AES power rating, 96.5dB sensitivity and a 43.5mm (1.7”) peak to peak maximum excursion. This model joins the extensive range of ferrite magnet woofers in the Lavoce catalog.

The two next woofers are also significant additions to the company's range of neodymium low-frequency drivers. First is the SAN184.50, an 18” neodymium magnet subwoofer using a 4.5” in/out copper clad aluminum voice coil, with an 1700W AES power rating, 98dB sensitivity, 45.6mm (1.8”) peak to peak maximum excursion and an aluminum demodulating ring to reduce harmonic and intermodulation distortion.

Next is the larger SAN215.30, a 21” neodymium magnet subwoofer using a 5.3” in/out copper clad aluminum voice coil, with a 2000W AES power rating, 97dB sensitivity, 53mm (2.1”) peak to peak maximum excursion and an aluminum demodulating ring to reduce harmonic and intermodulation distortion.

Each model features an FEM optimized motor and cooling system to aid high power handling and lower power compression, together with a double silicone suspension and triple roll surround to provide consistent linearity at high excursion.

As Pierpaolo De Minicis, Lavoce Division Manager, explains, "Our product development strategy has always included products for the highest segment of the pro audio market, and these new large voice coil subwoofers are excellent additions to our range, offering extreme specifications to inspire our OEM and distribution partners."

Lavoce Italiana designs all its products at his R&D center in Potenza Picena, Italy, and all products are manufactured at their wholly owned state of art factory in Jiashan, China. Lavoce will be at ProLight+Sound 2019 on Hall 8 F77.
