High End 2025 International Audio Show, May 15-18, MOC Munich

February 24 2025, 00:35
The 42nd edition of the High End will mark a milestone in the long history of the international audio trade show. The High End will take place in Munich, Germany once again before moving from the MOC to the Austria Center Vienna next year. But before that will happen, it's time to say “Welcome to Munich” once again! With every corner of the MOC Event Center sold out, the 2025 High End promises to be another major moment for the audio industry.

The High End audio show took place in Munich for 21 consecutive years. And before the already confirmed announcement of relocation to Austria, the High End Society has everything in place to promote what is unanimously considered one of the best organized trade shows in the world. From May 15 to 18, 2025, the entire consumer and high-end audio industry will convene in the Bavarian capital for the summit of the year.

There are more than 500 international exhibitors confirmed, and this year, the event will again feature two trade and press days, offering valuable B2B business opportunities, time to discover new products, connecting with the audio industry, speaking to stakeholders, sharing expert knowledge, and maintaining contacts. During the weekend, the High End 2025 will also be open to the general public.

Running all four days is the dedicated area of the IPS – International Parts + Supply in hall 1, which ideally complements the High End show with a vital area for manufacturers and brands to find the latest technologies and solutions for product development. Within the IPS exhibits is also the Audio and Loudspeaker Technologies International (ALTI) Pavilion, where many other specialized suppliers also participate, including a dedicated meeting area for OEM/ODMs, and where audioXpress will be represented.

Directly connected to this dedicated B2B space, the High End Society is this year announcing the expansion of the World of Headphones zone in Hall 1. Now with even more space and more exhibitors, this always vibrant space will be the meeting place for all those who prefer to enjoy music with headphones. The special exhibition is also a magical attraction for visitors, allowing the unique opportunity to try out and compare a multitude of different headphones. Expanding the exhibits in the adjacent halls, a growing number of home audio and consumer audio companies will also showcase their latest products.

The 2024 edition of the High End show was one of the most successful ever, and many exhibitors had positive things to say about it. "The High End 2024 was a total success for everyone involved, proving that the industry is more vibrant than ever before. For international trade professionals, the High End is a must-attend event year after year," said Stefan Dreischärf, Managing Director of the High End Society Service GmbH.

The 2024 show attracted a total of 22,198 visitors to the MOC, slightly above the previous year, where the confirmed numbers of trade visitors, 11,237, were also higher. Drawing people coming from 108 nations, the High End 2024 was also more international than ever. In addition, 588 media representatives travelled to Munich to find the latest innovations in the industry and to report about the audio show.

Visitor traffic on the first public day was so intense at times that sections of the atriums had to be temporarily cordoned off to prevent the aisles and rooms from being overfilled. Although the space in the MOC is spread over more than 30,000 square meters in the four halls and three atriums, visitors were particularly attracted to the atrium rooms, featuring fantastic demonstrations of exclusive products. As in the previous year, the trade show was fully booked, with a total of 513 exhibiting companies taking up every last corner of the halls.

Expanding on the initiative from previous years to elect a brand ambassador for the show - Steven Wilson, Alan Parsons, and Al Di Meola were names previously invited to attend and represent the High End show - the High End Society confirmed that the gifted Norwegian singer Anette Askvik will be the face of the renowned show.

Anette Askvik is renowned for her hypnotic music, taking her listeners along on an emotional journey. Her powerful voice and soulful compositions are a unique amalgam of fragility and strength. The Norwegian artist is in fact much more than a singer. She writes her own songs, produces them, and has her own record label, "Bird". Her latest album, Lyden Av Snø, represents a poetic winter landscape put to music, and is yet another masterpiece of Scandinavian sound excellence.

"I am really looking forward to being part of the High End 2025," says Anette Askvik. "Music connects us in ways that words often do not. I'm thrilled to share this passion with an audience that thoroughly appreciates audiophile perfection as much as I do." In a studio arranged especially for the occasion and in cooperation with Kii Audio, she will be showcasing some of her impressive pieces in immersive sound reproduction.

On the four days of the event in May, the entire world of home audio experts and industry professionals will gather in Munich to visit hundreds of exhibitors from more than 40 different countries as they showcase their latest innovations in the halls and atriums of the MOC Event Center. After 21 successful years in Munich, the High End is moving to Vienna in 2026.
