HEAD acoustics Announces ArtemiS SUITE Release 16.5

December 13 2024, 14:35
HEAD acoustics announced Release 16.5 for its ArtemiS sound and vibration measurement and analysis software Suite. Highlights in the software update include Reference+, a new automated structural analysis module that uses a Neural Network with advanced algorithms, support for quick shaker measurements with the Recorder, and SQala Lite, a new entry-level solution for objective listening tests. There are also many user interface and usability improvements and features in the update.

ArtemiS SUITE is HEAD acoustics’ most comprehensive and convenient modular software for measuring and analyzing sound and vibration, including AI-enabled structural dynamics. It helps product developers optimize product sounds and environmental noise emissions and combines powerful evaluation  tools in a standardized software environment. With the extensively improved 16.5 release, ArtemiS SUITE becomes even more versatile, capable, and user-friendly.

A major enhancement in 16.5 is Reference+, a new ArtemiS SUITE module that fully automates reference point determination for modal analysis. It is a game-changer for structural analysis regarding reference point determination. The unique technology combines a Neural Network with state-of-the-art algorithms, enabling users of all experience levels to achieve higher curve-fitting performance and more complete shape tables.

Reference+ provides high-quality, user-independent results that are markedly better than manual alternatives. It significantly reduces the risk of costly and time-consuming re-runs that can result from selecting unsuitable reference points.

Another major improvement are the dedicated Shaker Features (APR 040) for the ArtemiS SUITE Recorder, now including a new Shaker Configuration Tab, consolidating the relevant settings for quick shaker measurements. The ArtemiS SUITE Recorder can be used for all types of measurements supported by Flow Control, triggers, by real-time analyses, etc. The latest Online Monitor analyzes show transfer functions and coherence, ensuring users have everything they need for efficient shaker measurements. With HEAD acoustics’ dedicated shaker labV12-O4 II hardware and easy-to-use inertial shakers from Qsources, users will get new possibilities to investigate structure analyzes.

The TPA Project (APR 620) is a fast and easy solution for building a transfer path model and calculating source characteristics and path contributions in the time domain. The results can be used for further interactive analysis in Prognoise (HEAD acoustics software for binaural transfer path analysis and synthesis (BTPA/BTPS)), or to create input data for datasets that can be experienced in the NVH Simulator PreSense for virtual prototyping, troubleshooting, sound design, target definition, etc. The solution now validates TPA models through synthesis fidelity calculation. It allows users to summarize paths within a validation group, making it easier to compare measured and synthesized source strengths in validation measurements (Synthesis Fidelity).

Completely new is SQala Lite, a new entry-level solution for objective listening tests, ideal for analyzing audio products, vehicles, and consumer preferences. SQala Lite offers two basic standardized methods for precise sound quality assessment through jury tests: categorical evaluation and ranking. The various listening test steps, including subject information, demo sounds, and interviews are now faster and easier thanks to the user-friendly and intuitive interface.

SQala Lite is also an upgradeable solution, so users can upgrade to SQala Basic and SQala Net/Server levels to access even more advanced features and greater functionality.

Other improvements in ArtemiS SUITE 16.5 include MDF4 Import (ASP 707), which now enables the import of the ASAM Measurement Data Format, a Pattern Editor user interface refresh, improved labeling properties for statistics in both the Pool and Automation projects, and usability improvements for editing multiple selected processes.
