Ear Trumpet Labs, a boutique microphone company from Portland, Oregon, is one of the most original stories of a successful manufacturing business in the audio industry. Offering vintage-inspired microphones handcrafted by a small team of six artisans, Ear Trumpet Labs succeeded in gaining recognition for the unique sound qualities and originality of its products. The company will exhibit for the first time at the NAMM Show 2025, where it will introduce a new condenser microphone.
Founded in 2011, Ear Trumpet Labs is a self-described “craft builder of unique microphones for adventurous musicians and recording artists.” Trusted by over 20+ GRAMMY-winning artists, Ear Trumpet Labs’ microphones are frequently seen on music videos and on stages worldwide, endorsed by artists such as Brandi Carlile, Lucius, Elvis Costello, Sierra Ferrell, Billy Strings, Old Dominion, Christian McBride, The Milk Carton Kids, and more. The distinctive looks of the microphones have earned them prominent features from Tony award-winning Broadway Musical Hadestown to The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Saints feature film and Dolly Parton’s 'What’s Up?' music video.
To add excitement to their first time exhibiting at NAMM, Ear Trumpet Labs will unveil Wanda, a new condenser microphone. Founder Philip Graham shares that the choice to attend was the perfect opportunity to introduce the industry to their noteworthy suite of mics and share their highly anticipated new product.
Wanda is the newest microphone from Ear Trumpet Labs, combining timeless midcentury aesthetics with cutting-edge performance. Inspired by the iconic microphone designs of the 1940s and 50s, Wanda’s lustrous all-brass body and classic cast construction with built-in stand mount make it a striking centerpiece for stage or studio.
Voiced with a touch of added presence, it was designed to effortlessly cut through the mix in loud band settings while maintaining a warm, tonally consistent sweet spot for use up to 12” away. Built tough for the road like all classic microphones of the 40’s and 50’s, Ear Trumpet Labs believes that Wanda will also shine in the studio, delivering exceptional clarity and detail for vocals, horns, drums, strings, and more. With its high-SPL-handling circuitry, integrated multilayer pop filter, and precise pivoting stand mount, Wanda will combine studio-quality sound, iconic looks, and unmatched versatility.
“We are thrilled to exhibit at NAMM for the first time and be able to showcase the growth of Ear Trumpet Labs. We still handcraft every single microphone out of our workshop and have expanded our reach to some truly incredible artists; we're excited to present to the industry in person our full line of unique condenser microphone designs."
Ear Trumpet Labs will exhibit in ACC North Level 1 at Booth #14117 and will have all of their models available to try, where founder Philip Graham will meet and greet those interested in the company’s unique products.
