Ear Trumpet Labs Launches Wanda Condenser Microphone at NAMM 2025

January 29 2025, 00:30
Ear Trumpet Labs, the boutique microphone company from Portland, Oregon, exhibited for the first time at the NAMM Show 2025, where it introduced Wanda, its new condenser microphone. The new  compact, stand-mounted condenser microphone pairs mid-century design with cutting-edge performance. With its rugged, all-brass body and iconic 1940s-50s aesthetic, Wanda is a new great option on stage or in the studio. Its pivoting stand mount ensures seamless positioning on any mic stand or boom arm - no clip required.

Inside the new microphone is a medium-large diaphragm condenser capsule, that is able to withstand high-SPL, complemented with a multilayer pop filter that makes Wanda perfect for high-volume applications like horns, snares, or even kick drums. Its great feedback rejection and plosive control makes it also a great option for studio-quality sound anywhere. The capsule and circuitry design ensure professional-grade performance, no matter the application.

Voiced with a touch of added presence, Wanda shines in loud band settings while delivering Ear Trumpet Labs’ signature warm, tonally consistent sweet spot — up to 12" away. Beneath its vintage-inspired design, it offers exceptional clarity, capturing every nuance with fidelity — ready for vocalists, crooners, horns, strings, and guitar cabs.

Hand-built in Ear Trumpet Labs’ small Oregon workshop with precision and artistry, Wanda embodies the company’s legacy of creating versatile, reliable, and visually stunning microphones trusted by GRAMMY-winning artists worldwide. The lustrous all-brass body with brass mesh and classic cast construction is truly distinctive from any other existing microphone and will stand out like all microphones from the brand.

Founded in Portland, Oregon in 2011, Ear Trumpet Labs is a craft builder of unique microphones for adventurous musicians and recording artists. Combining technical expertise, the highest grade hand-selected electrical components, and a sculptural aesthetic, the company is committed to a hand-built craft workshop approach to providing the best-looking and sounding microphones.

Wanda is now available with an introductory MSRP of $525.
