Digigram has acquired Grenoble-based OROS, also a French company specializing in noise and vibration testing systems. This acquisition by the audio over IP solutions company expands the Digigram Group's build-up strategy focused on critical audio applications. OROS high end solutions meet the requirements and expectations of automotive, aerospace, marine energy & process, manufacturing and automation industries. The amount of the transaction has not been disclosed.

For nearly 40 years, OROS has designed and manufactured noise and vibration testing systems (instruments and software). A company with worldwide reach, OROS delivers a range of high-tech products and solutions encompassing data acquisition, structural dynamics, acoustics and rotating applications as well as a range of related services.

Effective immediately, the acquisition expands the group’s headcount to approximately 60 employees, with offices stretching from the headquarters in Montbonnot to the companies’ subsidiaries based in Singapore, the United States and China.

Similar to the recent acquisition of AuviTran in September 2023, Digigram and OROS will now join operations, encouraging teamwork to boost synergies. OROS will retain its brands and identity. As a result, OROS management will increase its human and financial resources to support its development.

"Digigram's contribution is a valuable leverage to support both the technical and commercial development of OROS, as engaged in 2023 with the release of O4," states Nicolas Denisot, Product Manager at OROS.

The Digigram group has gained expertise in the critical audio, broadcast and live markets, with solutions serving the acquisition, transport and interconnection of audio signals over IP (AoIP). Designed and developed in Grenoble, France, Digigram and AuviTran hardware and software solutions have been a reference for major players in the media, transport, aerospace, defense and public safety sectors operating in France and abroad.

While the two companies already operate in different segments of the critical communications market, with customers in the civil and military aerospace (Airbus, GE Aircraft Engines, CAE) and maritime (US Naval Academy) sectors, their joint endeavors will increase their presence in the industrial, defense, security and transport markets.

Both founded in 1985 in the Grenoble tech environment, OROS and Digigram share common grounds: both SMEs have developed their expertise with a 'Made in France' flair for hardware and software solutions, propelling them in markets where innovation, quality and reliability are paramount. With a long tradition of growth based on export, Digigram and OROS have relied on distribution networks and subsidiaries based abroad. Their influence reaches beyond their national borders.

"Our fundamentals are very close, whether in terms of markets, strategic stance or human values, which is crucial to achieve a swift and seamless convergence," says Jérémie Weber, President of the Digigram group. "On many topics, OROS and Digigram speak the same language, always highlighting our French rooted expertise, a certain taste for innovation, and solutions applauded by our most demanding customers for their quality and reliability in critical environments. Together, OROS and Digigram will combine signal transport know-how with signal analysis expertise. This extensive approach opens up a whole world of possibilities to meet new needs and address increasingly comprehensive use cases," concludes Weber.

Based in the French Alps, Digigram currently has 2 offices in France and Singapore. The professional audio market acclaimed its IP-based audio contribution solutions (IQOYA range) and the launch of the ALP-X sound cards range. Utmost reliability, pristine audio quality and user-friendliness have been among Digigram’s signature features.
