Following the introduction of the Avia range of audio DSPs in December 2016, Crestron continues to expand its completely integrated Avia audio solutions portfolio, from speakers to Dante-networkable digital signal processors and the groundbreaking Avia Audio Tool software workspace. Now, Crestron is shipping the Avia multichannel amplifiers, with two models recently demonstrated at ISE 2017, rounding out their groundbreaking new line of Avia Audio Solutions.
The new AMP-8075 and AMP-8150 are engineered to work natively with Crestron Avia DSPs to provide powerful, precise, and flexible audio systems for a wide range of commercial applications. These new high-efficiency multichannel amps support applications requiring simultaneous low and high impedance speaker systems, as well as remote control and monitoring over the network.
“Our new Avia amplifiers perfectly complement our powerful Avia DSP platform,” says Dennis Fink, Audio Technology Manager at Crestron. “Together they provide a robust, easy to scale audio system for a wide range of commercial applications. Configuration and control is fast and easy using our intuitive new Avia Audio Tool software; and the overall performance is truly best-in-class.”
AMP-8075 and AMP-8150 offer 8-channels of clean, professional power in a single rack space, with a choice of 75 or 150 Watts per channel. Each channel is individually configurable for either low-Z (4/8 Ohm) or high-Z (70V or 100V). High-speed Ethernet LAN connectivity enables configuration, monitoring, and control via the Avia Audio Tool software, a Crestron control system, or Crestron Fusion Cloud.
The new amps feature comprehensive front panel status indication and output meters, and rear panels include balanced inputs and level adjustments. Advanced Class D technology maximizes efficiency to reduce power consumption and heat dissipation. An internal universal power supply with power factor correction ensures consistent performance with varying line voltages.
Crestron’s Avia amplifiers and DSPs integrate seamlessly to deliver commercial audio systems that meet the highest professional standards. Complete system configuration is fast and easy using the groundbreaking Avia Audio Tool software, which features a new and highly intuitive channel-strip architecture with a range of built-in pro tools. With the Avia Audio Tool, users are able to quickly integrate Crestron touch screens without a central control system; just drag and drop channel strip objects (from the DSP and amplifier) for control and to generate a touch screen UI.
