Campfire Audio Announces Trifecta Luxury In-Ear Monitors

May 20 2022, 00:45
Campfire Audio, the boutique earphone and IEM designers from Portland, Oregon, announced a new over-the-top design at the 2022 High End show in Munich. In their ever-evolving line of handcrafted listening devices, the new Trifecta IEMs get the name from being powered by a trio of 10mm ADLC (amorphous diamond-like carbon) dynamic drivers, housed within a clear nylon structure detailed with gold plating. A luxurious personal audio product, with acoustically tuned chambers that ensure a lush listening experience.

Campfire Audio has been keeping busy, and following the announcements of two important collaborations with leading balanced armature manufacturer Knowles, the Portland, Oregon-based company now introduced Trifecta at the 2022 Munich show. The all-new Trifecta premium earphones are aimed squarely at the luxury audio market and are described as the culmination of Campfire’s latest innovations in in-ear design for the ultimate listening pleasures.

The new personal audio in-earphones build on the brand’s signature blend of quality components and craftsmanship, to create a unique experience in form, function, and aesthetics, with a sound that is described as able to envelop the listener in "rich, towering waves of sonic impact."

The optically clear Trifecta nylon housing provides a window to its internal components, revealing three 10mm ADLC diaphragm dynamic drivers with gold-plated cases, hand-made in Portugal - a country known for its exquisite filigree jewels made from one of the world’s purest gold. Individually vented drivers face one another in a unique triangular configuration that is enhanced by an acoustically tuned chamber. Together these three custom drivers create a breathtakingly massive sound, that is only matched by Trifecta's stunning presentation and head-turning style.

Debuting with Trifecta is a reimagined cable collection from Campfire Audio, using silver plated, high purity copper ribbon internal hook-up wires, in cables with 2.5mm, 3.5mm, and 4.4mm terminations for any type of audio source. At the other end Campfire uses standard MMCX connectors.

The new Campfire Trifecta IEMs will retail for MSRP $3375 with an initial limited release of 333 units that begin shipping on July 30, 2022.
