Bluetooth speakers are starting to evolve into different usage scenarios, including competing with whole home WiFi systems, while keeping the most common features that users have shown to appreciate in those affordable products, such as battery operated convenience for truly wireless operation anywhere music is needed. Of course, to get into the home, Bluetooth speakers need to adopt different home-friendly design concepts, while implementing enhanced connectivity for stereo operation with two speakers. A strong challenge for Bluetooth technology, to which Braven responded with completely updated designs.
All three speakers feature built-in microphones and speakerphone for answering calls, Bluetooth Low Energy 4.1 with aptX encoded audio support and A2DP v1.3+. Wired connectivity includes an auxiliary 3.5 mm stereo input, 2.4A USB output for charging other devices, and micro USB for firmware updates.
