Bose is rethinking the portable speaker category and redesigning its own iconic SoundLink Bluetooth speaker family. The new addition to Bose's consumer portfolio is the SoundLink Home Bluetooth Speaker, an innovative design that fills any room and offers great aesthetics. Compact yet powerful, the SoundLink Home Speaker is a sleek wireless design that alludes to early Japanese transistor radios, but offers all the features associated with smart speakers.
Renowned for its range of tabletop radios, the Bose Wave Music System, and more recently the great sounding SoundLink Bluetooth speakers, Bose has always been dedicated to delivering amazing sound experiences in the most compact and affordable product segments. With the newest SoundLink Home Bluetooth Speaker, Bose is paying tribute to the great designs of its earlier days, while exploring the limits of what is possible with today's Bluetooth technology, leveraging also all the experience from its smart speaker designs.
In this new range of SoundLink Home Bluetooth Speakers, Bose combined a full-range driver and dual passive radiators to achieve the deepest bass from such a slim and compact design, able to produce a sensorial experience defying its size. And the SoundLink Home Speaker has been optimized for flexibility with a USB-C audio input to plug and play from a laptop or any other music source. Users will be able to pair two SoundLink Home speakers together to create a unique stereo experience using the speakers as left and right channels.
Equipped with advanced Bluetooth 5.3, the speaker provides up to nine hours of battery life. When it’s time to recharge, users just need to plug in the USB-C charger and they’re ready to take the speaker anywhere again in four hours. The design can also be used to make and receive phone calls with the speaker’s built-in microphone, or used to access the device’s native voice assistant when a smartphone is out of reach. Thanks to multipoint Bluetooth, the SoundLink Home maintains a connection to two paired source devices at the same time.
The SoundLink Home Bluetooth Speaker is also a robust design with an anodized aluminum chassis and a high-quality fabric grille that inspire the speaker's premium feel, while a built-in stand makes it easy to move from room to room. Measuring 8.5″ wide, 4.4″ high, and 2.3″ deep and weighing in at 1.93 pounds, the speaker can naturally fit into any room in the house and is ready to be taken anywhere.
Bose confirms that the SoundLink Home Speaker is available for now in two finishes, Light Silver or Cool Grey, and sells for USD $219.
