The BWF-6503 (Part #82130) 6.5" woofer was designed using state of the art Klippel Laser Scanning Vibrometry and QC testing equipment, with its design optimized by Klippel’s Near Field Scanner. Using a unique red and black thread carbon fiber cone and an NBR surround, this woofer works well in two-way book-shelf designs or multiple driver tower speakers. The cast aluminum basket is well vented under the spider to provide ample voice coil cooling to avoid power compression. A copper pole cap shorting ring in the motor and an aluminum phase plug work together to greatly reduce distortion and acoustic-wave energy interference. This woofer is designed to be compatible with the new Bold North Audio 29mm dome tweeter, the BDT-2901.
The also new BMW-4001 (Part #84071) is a premium 4" mid-woofer and ideal for professional line-arrays, multi-driver floor standing designs, or small book-shelf speakers. A rigid, but light weight carbon fiber cone along with an edge wound copper voice coil, combine for excellent transient response and an extended and controlled top end roll-off. The frame is heavy duty, aluminum die cast with venting below the flat spider and through the center of the magnet structure to avoid air turbulence and noise.
