Essentially, the new Auralex Acoustics Room Layout eXpress app takes a lot of the guesswork out of determining what is the best and most effective acoustical treatment solutions for a specific space. It guides users on solving issues like improving the sound on a room with room treatment, stop sound from traveling room to room, or get help with sound isolation. Applications are defined from the chosen "Room Type" profile, from listening rooms to home theaters, all the way to project studios, rehearsal rooms, or conference rooms.
The app is both easy to use and returns immediate results. To begin, users simply need select their “Room Type." Users can also use the “Edit Room” function to view multiple results for the room dimensions previously entered. The kit recommendations provided are based on both the type of room selected, and the suggested amount of necessary acoustic treatment required based on the specific square footage, using Auralex comprehensive line of Absorption, Bass Trapping, and Diffusion products.
Users are also able to input various types of equipment and gear used in the room. The app will use this information to provide suggestions on applicable ISO Series Products that can further help room acoustics. When ready, users can directly make a purchase to a number of the Authorized Auralex Dealers listed, or they may enter a zip code to receive the contact information of the nearest Authorized Auralex Dealer. If the user would like to have a permanent copy of the room results and more information, there is a dedicated form on the app to have the report emailed.
