Yeung Siu Chung (Ben) studied in the United States before moving back to Hong Kong, where he started at the bottom working for his father, the chairman and CEO of Fujikon. After seven years spent learning the business, Ben finally assumed his role as an executive at the Hong Kong-based company, leading the company through a number of transformations.
During this new APDA presentation, Ben Yeung will discuss with Dave Lindberg, Steve Willenborg, and Roger Shively how his company is planning and managing the current market volatility and the challenges resulting from the announced US tariffs. Seen from the perspective of an audio manufacturer that is one of the leading suppliers of headphones and personal audio products to brands from around the world, the current situation is originating a new series of strategies. There are also many different attitudes from Fujikon's customers facing this uncertain situation, and there's nothing like learning from real examples to understand the actual market conditions.
Ben Yeung is an interesting host, since he is able to provide a unique perspective from a company with recognized expertise on headphones and true wireless technologies, ANC platforms, and application categories that are currently seeing very strong demand globally. Serving customers from all over the world with different perspectives on exports to multiple regions provides Fujikon with a broad overview of how the tariffs are affecting the business and how different regions of the world are defining new strategies as a result.

Fujikon Industrial (www.fujikon.com) is an OEM/ODM business with over three successful decades of evolution and continuous growth. The company invested heavily in R&D capabilities to be able to support its customers and gradually became a leading JDM (joint development and manufacturing) partner. The company had to navigate previous tariffs that have affected its business in past years, successfully surpassed the enormous challenges from the global pandemic, and has expanded its operations from mainland China and Hong Kong also to Indonesia, working with service partners to deal with the logistics.
This webinar will discuss the structure and the complexities of dealing with tariffs from a manufacturer's perspective, including dealing with its own parts and components supply chain from around the globe.
