During the three-days event, attendees are encouraged to go from room-to-room, interact with salespeople and engineers, have a seat and casually listen. A huge variety of equipment is demonstrated, ranging from affordable audio systems to ultra-expensive high-end gear and RMAF also features live entertainment and informative seminars in a friendly atmosphere. Many companies present their world-wide debut of new products and additionally offer discounted “show-prices” on selected equipment. Both of which are listed here.
Also for those interested in headphones, there is CanJam @ RMAF, a show-within-a-show, organized by Head-Fi.org, featuring the latest in headphone technology, the fastest growing segment of the audio industry.
Centrally located in the USA and combining good logistics with the easy-going culture of the Mountain West and the spacious nature of the city, RMAF compels many companies and visitors worldwide for the friendly atmosphere. Since 2010, an additional floor of exhibitors has been added at the Denver Tech Center Marriott, showcasing even more international and domestic manufacturers. Furniture is removed from over 170 of the hotel’s sleeping rooms and manufacturers are able to set up complete systems for attendees to audition.
The Colorado Audio Society offers guided tours of the event’s complexes and several floors of demo rooms and displays. Each year RMAF has a host of seminars dedicated to imparting a deeper knowledge of the audio industry. The discussions and panels ranging on a variety of subjects consist of designers, press, engineers, company owners and a variety of industry experts.
