AudioControl Adds New Volume Control Functions To Director Series Network Amplifiers

December 23 2014, 05:00
AudioControl has announced new feature additions to their industry leading multi-channel amplifiers, The Director Model D3400 and Model D4400, that allows users to discretely control the volume levels of selected channels. New software enabled features provide integrators with a number of pre-amplifier capabilities that further expand the capabilities of The Director Series and make it an even more powerful distributed audio amplifier

The AudioControl Director Model D3400 and D4400 network amplifiers are category leading products with flexible digital signal processing that supports graphic and parametric equalization filters for each zone, crossover functions, memory locations along with complete network monitoring of mute status and temperature. The amplifiers are rated at 65 watts per channel (D3400) and 100 watts per channel (D4400) respectively at 8 ohms but can also be bridged for increased power level and are stable into low impedances.

These new volume controls are now included with all The Director series amplifiers, effective immediately. Command protocols for The Director series are available on the AudioControl website or directly thru 3rd party control companies.

The Director Series amplifiers are designed, engineered and manufactured at AudioControl’s factory in the Pacific Northwest, located outside of Seattle, WA. Like all AudioControl audio products, The Director series network amplifiers come with a complete 5-year parts and labor bulletproof warranty.

More integration solutions
AudioControl unveiled the latest models of its Director Network Power Amplifier series at the CEDIA 2014 show, introducing the power ratings, audio performance, network capability, control and monitoring flexibility and configuration features required by integrators. The launch of The Director M Series, led by The Director Model M6400 added matrixing functionality on all inputs and outputs allowing for flexible signal routing. New digital inputs alongside its 16 analog inputs are combined into an efficient 2U rack space with pre-amp Volume Control and source switching between analog and digital inputs via IP commands, along with the signal matrix routing.

Like all AudioControl network amplifiers, The Director Model M6400 has powerful digital signal processing (DSP) that supports graphic and parametric equalization, audio zone controls, signal delay and memory presets, ideal for distributed audio control systems or operated as stand-alone whole-house audio solutions.

AudioControl has also expanded its high-performing zone-amplifiers since introducing the Rialto 400 Zone amplifier, which has grown to become one of the company’s fastest selling models. At the 2014 CEDIA Expo, AudioControl introduced the new Bijou 600 model, specifically designed for custom installation applications in all zones across the house and ideal for TV set-ups, sound bars, additional indoor and outdoor zones and gaming set-ups, powering speakers of all sizes, types and ratings.

AudioControl also launched recently a new line-up of AV extenders with the introduction of the HDBT-S1 Sender and the HDBT-R1 Receiver that uses HDBaseT technology for extending HDMI signals via standard CAT5e/CAT6.
