AVIXA Confirms InfoComm 2020 Cancellation and Strategy for Orlando 2021

The show management of InfoComm and the executive leadership of the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association (AVIXA) have confirmed that the InfoComm 2020 show, scheduled for June 13‑19 in Las Vegas, Nevada, is effectively and officially canceled. This is a decision that affects may companies and professionals all over the world, but clearly only surprises for the fact that it was announced when everyone had long assumed that traveling and attending large gatherings is something to look forward to do again... in 2021.

UPDATE: Prolight+Sound 2020 Cancelled. For the last 25 years, Prolight+Sound has been synonymous with trends and innovations in the entertainment-technology industry. Given the increasing spread of Covid-19 in Europe, Messe Frankfurt confirmed the decision to cancel Prolight+Sound 2020. The trade fair was originally planned for 31 March to 3 April. The next Prolight+Sound will be held from 13 to 16 April 2021.

The High End 2020 trade show, planned for May 14 to 17, 2020 in Munich has been cancelled due to the current worsening trend with respect to the spread of the novel coronavirus. Even with registrations for the annual Munich show once again exceeding expectations and the whole MOC exhibition center booked solid, the High End Society was forced to make the announcement.

InfoComm 2019 Consolidates Its Position as the Leading Event for the AV Industry in North America

By the show’s end, InfoComm 2019 counted 44,129 registered attendees, of which 37 percent were attending for the first time and 18 percent traveled to the show from 117 countries outside the U.S. This is still a positive trend, considering that InfoComm 2018 set a new record for attendance in Las Vegas, when the trade show attracted nearly 43,000 registered attendees, and the fact that the previous edition of InfoComm in Orlando had logged 44,077 registered attendees (a 13% growth compared to 2015, also in Orlando).
