CES 2025 Returns January 7-10, 2025 to Las Vegas, NV

CES is the most influential technology event in the world – the proving ground for breakthrough technologies and global innovators. This is where the world's biggest brands do business and meet new partners, and the sharpest innovators hit the stage. Owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), CES 2025 features every aspect of the tech sector with audio activities largely centered around the Venetian Expo and suites. This year, due to the LVCC renovations, the show will spread even more, with increasing pressure over the Venetian.

Following a few intense days in the extremely warm and dry environment in Berlin, attending IFA 2024 - the Big CE Supermarket as I called it in my 2015 report - it felt great to move on to Amsterdam and attend the vibrant International Broadcasting Convention (IBC). Great, if it wasn't for the sudden change in weather with unexpected rain and a sudden drastic drop in temperature. IBC 2024 was a vibrant show with historical announcements from Sennheiser and Genelec, but our report also highlights the impressive expansion of Dante audio networking in this important industry segment. And many other reasons why everyone was happy to be at IBC.

A first impressions report focused on the audio side of IFA Berlin, where there is still plenty to see. From the Auracast Experience to a vibrant B2B environment. The largest consumer electronics and home appliances marketplace where “retail” and “resellers” meet is still alive and well. Celebrating 100 years of the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA) Berlin (International Radio Exhibition Berlin), this vibrant trade show has evolved over decades into the world’s largest appliances and consumer electronics marketplace.

Philip Richardson, Owner of Trueanalog Strictly OEM and Host of the Loudspeaker Sourcing Show announced that the 2024 edition of the show, scheduled to take place 16-18 October in Guangzhou, China will be postponed this year. In a message on social media, Richardson posted that "Due to unforeseen political climate, and limited travel to China from invited countries, the Loudspeaker Sourcing Show will be postponed this year. I'm deeply sorry for the inconvenience."

AXPONA (Audio Expo North America) welcomed 10,391 attendees, coming from 42 states and 31 countries, to the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center, April 12-14, 2024. This was a 14% increase over 2023 and marked its biggest show yet. Over 600 audio brands from 50+ countries offered a vibrant showcase filling the largest number of rooms. AXPONA offered music lovers three jam-packed days of spectacular sound, technology, seminars, live music, and the very latest products in the industry.

AXPONA, the largest consumer audio show in North America, returns to the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center and Hotel April 12-14. The show attracts nearly 300 exhibitors featuring 700 brands coming from 40 different countries including dozens of first-time exhibitors. For the 2024 edition, the promoters have confirmed over 200 listening rooms and the largest ever number of companies exhibiting. Integrated Systems Europe just released its Facts & Figures report that fully characterizes the mammoth trade show that was held at the Fira de Barcelona, January 30 to February 2, 2024. With a record-breaking attendance of 73,891 verified attendees from 162 countries, ISE 2024 is confirmed as the biggest ever in the 20 years of the event. And audio technologies are reported as the primary focus from attendees.

InfoComm 2024, the largest trade show focused on professional audiovisual technologies in North America is set for June 8-14 (exhibits 12-14) at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Held every two years in Orlando, FL and Las Vegas, NV, InfoComm is produced by the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association (AVIXA), and currently ranks as the 39th largest trade show in the United States.
