WiiM, the company that disrupted the consumer industry with its fast growing range of music streamers and simple and affordable smart home connected products, announced the integration of its powerful WiiM OS into a third party brand of wireless speakers. The collaboration with Audio Pro combines the company’s minimalistic-designed speakers with the feature-rich and user-friendly WiiM OS, resulting in an improved experience that offers seamless control, advanced audio streaming, and versatile multiroom connectivity.

Following a series of initiatives to expand its WiiM home platform also for residential integration and commercial background music applications, LinkPlay has now expanded access to its WiiM OS and software ecosystem to a third party manufacturer, with an integration with Audio Pro’s latest A10 and C10 MKII speakers. The WiiM OS integration offers an improved and personalized, connected listening experience to Audio Pro’s Scandinavian-inspired speakers.

Audio Pro is a Swedish company with strong roots in the early HiFi industry. The company has designed, developed and manufactured speakers since 1978 and is today available in over 55 countries globally. Today, Audio Pro is recognized for its line of active speakers, all equipped with wireless, multiroom and smart voice-control features. Since 2012 the company also entered the commercial segment with a range of products for retail and hospitality under the brand Audio Pro Business.

The AudioPro A10 and C10 MKII, WiiM Edition are two 50-watt and 80-watt active speakers with advanced smart features, designed to enhance both everyday music streaming and home entertainment setups. With the addition of WiiM OS, users will enjoy a new level of convenience and control in multiroom audio, making it easier than ever to enjoy high-quality audio in any room of the house. Leveraging LinkPlay’s experience in licensing its hardware technology and wireless modules, this new integration signals an important expansion for the company’s business model, now adding an important software component.

“We’re thrilled to take the next step in WiiM’s journey by integrating our popular WiiM OS into AudioPro’s A10 and C10 MKII speakers,” says Lifeng Zhao, CEO of WiiM. “This collaboration enhances our commitment to providing a seamless and personalized listening experience, allowing users to easily control their audio journey from a single platform. At the heart of the WiiM OS integration is the WiiM Home app, which allows users to manage content and devices from one central place. Already proven in the WiiM range of streaming music players, the WiiM Home app offers access to an extensive range of music services including Spotify, Amazon Music, TIDAL, Deezer, Qobuz, the user’s own music library, and more. Users can easily switch between platforms while controlling all WiiM-compatible devices from a single, intuitive interface.

WiiM OS also ensures smooth integration with Apple AirPlay, Google Chromecast, DLNA, Spotify Connect, and TIDAL Connect, offering hassle-free casting and streaming from third-party apps across multiple devices, all with the highest sound quality. The platform supports up to 24-bit/192 kHz audio quality, allowing for a smooth, uninterrupted listening experience, whether streaming full albums or curated gapless playlists.

With this integration, WiiM OS also enhances the C10 and A10 MKII’s versatility by enabling users to connect external devices such as turntables, TVs, or stereo systems. And with built-in support for voice assistants like Google Assistant and Siri, WiiM OS allows users to control their music, manage playback, adjust settings, or explore new tracks always hands-free using voice.

Upcoming patent-pending features unique to WiiM also include Automatic Room Correction and Advanced Bass Management.

According to WiiM, this WiiM OS integration will also ensure the C10 and A10 MKII will be able to receive regular firmware updates, introducing new features, improving audio quality, and expanding compatibility with the latest music services.

The Audio Pro A10 MKII WiiM Edition is a compact smart speaker design, while the C10 MKII WiiM Edition, features an 80-watt sound system with a 5.25" woofer and two textile dome tweeters, delivering exceptional sound quality. With the integration of WiiM OS, both speakers are transformed into smarter, more connected devices, adapting to users’ preferences in real time for a truly personalized listening experience.
