Berlin-based Teufel, the German speaker manufacturer known for designing and engineering consumer audio products since 1979, and leading guitar manufacturer Fender Musical Instruments, have unveiled the product of an original cooperation. The Rockster Series of portable Bluetooth speakers blends Teufel design and manufacturing expertise with Fender's sonic legacy to create a unique range of lifestyle products.
Since 1946, Fender is recognized for its groundbreaking guitar amplifiers and the introduction of the iconic Telecaster and Stratocaster guitars designed by Leo Fender, which forever altered the music landscape. And yet, very rarely the company has ventured into lifestyle consumer products that expand the brand's value to a wider market as other guitar brands have done successfully.
Berlin-based Teufel is an acclaimed consumer electronics brand, recognized for its premium design and audio quality in the countries where its products are available. More recently, Teufel embraced a direct-to-consumer model, largely expanding its catalog, from affordable hifi and home cinema systems to affordable headphones and earbuds.
The two iconic brands have joined forces to create portable Bluetooth speakers, melding Teufel's German-engineered audio design approach with the iconic Fender design and aesthetic that is recognized by musicians but is also admired by millions of consumers. Creating a bridge between the success of current Party Speakers and portable Bluetooth designs, Teufel created an affordable lifestyle series that capitalizes on the brand value of Fender.
"We’re very proud to be introducing the Rockster Series in collaboration with Fender and to be offering our proven Bluetooth speaker technology in the United States for the first time," explains Sascha Mallah, Managing Director, Teufel. "The Fender x Teufel Rockster series is designed for audio lovers, and we know the fans and customers will truly hear the difference in sound quality. Paired with Fender's innovation and design input, the Rockster Series really stands apart on the market."
The Rockster Series includes three speakers starting with the Rockster AIR 2 ($599.99), which is almost a portable PA speaker and can be used as a portable instrument amplifier, made for live events. A high-capacity battery powers over five hours of playback at maximum volume, and lower volumes can be sustained for over 58 hours. The built-in amplification is enough to fill an outdoor party. The second model, the Rockster CROSS ($249.99) is a large portable stereo Bluetooth speaker also featuring a high-performance and fast-charge battery and Teufel's signature Dynamore processing system which creates a uniquely wide soundstage. Finally, the Rockster GO 2 ($129.99) is a more compact portable Bluetooth speaker, IP67 rated for dust- and water-proofing, that delivers powerful stereo sound and bass, also benefiting from Dynamore technology.
"Fender and Teufel is a fantastic cooperation because both companies are in love with great sound," adds Justin Norvell, Fender's Executive Vice President, Product. "When we’re going to put the Fender brand on something we really need to believe in it and make sure that it sounds great, and we partnered with Teufel because the audio is amazing and the products are top notch."
The Rockster Series is available now in the United States and the European Union. The full Rockster Series specifications are available here www.us.teufelaudio.com | www.teufelaudio.com
