Reinhold Lutz studied Communications Engineering at the Technical University of Munich and received a doctorate degree (summa cum laude) in engineering. He subsequently spent 30 years in the Space industry supporting German, European, and American companies. He served as Senior Vice President Airbus Defence & Space in Europe and the US. Reinhold lectured on system engineering for optical and SAR remote sensing space systems at the University of Delft and was co-author of the Space Mission Analysis and Design (SMAD) textbook. Reinhold also served as managing director for Astrium GmbH and on several boards of directors. He retired in August 2016 from Airbus DS and now develops high-end loudspeaker systems for audio enthusiasts with his own company, AudioChiemgau.
