Most Recent Audio Purchase:
Dirk’s latest acquisition is a Wembley EL84PP amplifier from the 1960s. He said it is very musical, but it definitely needs some restoration. Dirk added that he has several of these amps from the 1960s with EL84 tubes because of their high-quality sound.
Current Audio Projects:
Recent projects include a new-old stock (NOS) tubed DAC, a 6SN7 preamplifier with a remote control, and a 211SE amplifier that he is building for a friend.
Dream System:
Dirk said he would need a lot of time and a lot of money because he would build multiple dream systems for several different purposes.
