Genelec Expands Smart IP Family with Ethernet-Only Loudspeaker and Controller App

Genelec has further expanded its Smart IP family of installation loudspeaker systems with the introduction of a super compact 4410 loudspeaker model and a new Smart IP Controller app. The 4410 joins the existing 4420 and 4430 Smart IP speakers, while the free Controller app provides the end user with instant and intuitive control of key loudspeaker system functions including mute, volume control and power on/off, plus overall zone control.

British holding company Focusrite plc, which does business as Focusrite, Focusrite Pro, Martin Audio, ADAM Audio, Novation and Ampify Music brands, unveiled a new seventh brand, Optimal Audio. The strategy, according to Focusrite plc, is to offer a complete portfolio of advanced commercial audio products, designed for a fully connected and remotely controlled systems approach, with ease of installation in mind.

Meridian Audio is now certified by the Works with Sonos program, offering a new integration for its premium audio equipment to seamlessly connect with the Sonos sound system. This new integration makes it even easier for Sonos users to enjoy Meridian’s high-performance audio using the familiar Sonos interface, while streaming from more than 100 music services available and enjoying the ability for Meridian speakers to instantly wake and change inputs by simply pressing play in the Sonos app.
