WiSA Partners with Realtek to Develop and Launch a 5GHz Multichannel Immersive Audio Module

WiSA, the Wireless Speaker and Audio Association, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Summit Wireless Technologies, announced plans to integrate WiSA’s multichannel wireless audio capabilities - and its latest high-performance Spatial Audio Software - into Realtek’s 5GHz IoT chipsets. The partnership will culminate in a cost-effective module capable of delivering uncompressed, high-definition spatial audio streams for an unparalleled immersive audio experience.

Consumer electronics consortium Wireless Speaker and Audio Association (WiSA), announced that SoundSend, the Association's first branded product, is now available at $179 US MSRP. This means that consumer electronic brands can now offer wireless multichannel surround sound 5.1 systems hard bundled with SoundSend or co-promote with premium audio speakers or TVs. The new "hockey puck" device is truly a strategic product. It's a big deal for the promotion of the technology and for making WiSA truly mainstream.

Axiim, a company that specializes in wireless home audio/video products, announced that its highly anticipated Axiim LINK USB transmitter for WiSA Ready products is now available. The Axiim Link USB wireless audio transmitter is the essential component connecting 2019 LG OLED and NanoCell WiSA Ready TVs as well as the Xbox One gaming console to WiSA certified speakers. LINK is WiSA multi-channel wireless USB audio transmitter and is available now for $229 USD.
