WiSA Technologies Announces Program to License its Wireless Multichannel Audio Technology

WiSA Technologies announced a licensing program for its high-quality, multichannel wireless WiSA E software. Expanding from its original, hardware-based module approach, the new software licensing program is targeted towards HDTV platforms and speaker manufacturers. WiSA E is an interoperable audio software/IP solution designed for wireless sound technology on TV and Wi-Fi SoC platforms, enabling built-in transmission capabilities of high-quality multichannel audio streams.

Lithe Audio, the UK-based manufacturer of wireless audio systems for residential and commercial installations, unveiled the company's new iO1 all-in-one wireless indoor and outdoor speaker at CEDIA Expo 2022, in Dallas, TX. The Wireless Speaker and Audio Association (WiSA) attended CEDIA Expo 2022 in Dallas where multiple WiSA Association and WiSA Technologies announcements were made, including recent WiSA HT certified solutions, new products and award wins, including from WiSA members Bang and Olufsen, LG, Dynaudio and Lithe Audio. All these companies and others such as Savant have showcased their latest WiSA HT Certified solutions at CEDIA. And TV brands LG and Hisense showcased their newly launched WiSA SoundSend Certified TVs including the Hisense U7H, U8H and LG C2 and Z2 signature lines.

WiSA LLC, a subsidiary of WiSA Technologies, Inc., announced that Hisense’s 2022 U7H and U8H Series TVs have earned WiSA SoundSend Certification. In 2021, the WiSA SoundSend Certification program was launched to ensure effortless and simple connection and interoperability between smart TVs and the WiSA SoundSend wireless audio transmitter. The Hisense U7H and U8H received the certified status after they successfully tested to work with WiSA’s SoundSend.
