WiSA Association Nearly Doubles Its Members in One Year

WiSA LLC, the Wireless Speaker and Audio Association comprised of leading consumer electronics brands founded by Summit Wireless Technologies, announced unprecedented first quarter and year-over-year membership growth. Association membership now includes more than 60 of the industry’s leading consumer electronics, audio and original design manufacturer (ODM) brands, encouraged by the interoperability possibilities of the wireless multichannel audio technology.

WiSA LLC, the Wireless Speaker and Audio Association comprised of leading consumer electronics brands founded by Summit Wireless Technologies, today announced the addition of five new members. The association was reinforced with TCL Technology, Atlantic Technologies, Zylux Acoustic, Jazz Hipster, and AKSys. These new members will help develop and manufacture additional high-performance products as adoption of WiSA Ready platforms continues momentum.

WiSA LLC, the Wireless Speaker and Audio Association comprised of leading consumer electronics brands founded by Summit Wireless Technologies, announced the certification of Klipsch Reference Wireless speakers from Klipsch Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of VOXX International Corporation. Available in June 2019, this new line of Klipsch loudspeakers was introduced at CES 2019 and works flawlessly with any WiSA Certified and WiSA Ready products, including the new 2019 WiSA Ready LG OLED and Nano Cell (Super UHD) TVs.

WiSA has announced that LG is adopting WiSA industry standards across its display product in 2019 (debuting at CES). As such, LG will leverage Summit Wireless technology and WiSA Certification to make their 2019 lines of OLED and flagship UHD LCD TVs ‘WiSA Ready’ and compatible with WiSA USB Transmitters as well as a range of intelligent, WiSA Certified speakers that together deliver unprecedented wireless sound for home entertainment. WiSA estimates up to 60 Million units of WiSA Ready platforms will be in the market during 2019.

Following the launch of the Wireless Speaker and Audio Association (WiSA) certification program, the association now announced the certification of the “Link” WiSA USB Transmitter from Association member Axiim. The Axiim Link plugs into any WiSA Ready audio source including TVs, gaming systems and PCs and allows them to easily connect to any speakers certified by the WiSA Association. The Axiim Link transmitter is also the first and only wireless, high-resolution device designed for Xbox One and Windows PCs that is also WiSA Certified.

WiSA - the Wireless Speaker and Audio Association unveiled the “WiSA Ready” certification, which marks an important milestone in delivering immersive wireless audio. This new certification coincides with the launch of the industry’s first WiSA Ready USB transmitter from founding member Summit Wireless Technologies, which will be compatible with forthcoming WiSA Ready sources.
