Six Leading Global TV Manufacturers Embrace the WiSA Immersive Audio Standard

WiSA, the Wireless Speaker and Audio Association, comprised of more than 60 leading consumer electronics brands, announced it has expanded its reach to 6 top, global TV manufacturers. Its newest members include Compal, which ships TVs under the Toshiba brand, and Fengmi, an Xiaomi Technology ecosystem company and leading laser projection TV manufacturer. Together, they join LG Electronics, Foxconn, TCL, and Bang & Olufsen as WiSA members to bring WiSA Ready products that offer hi-definition, multi-channel audio home entertainment experiences.

WiSA Announces Certification for Primare Prisma SC15 and PRE35 Network Preamps

WiSA, the Wireless Speaker and Audio Association founded by Summit Wireless Technologies, announced the certification of two products from Primare’s Prisma line, including the SC15, a compact, full-featured system control and network player providing high quality sound and performance, and the PRE35, a fully balanced stereo preamplifier with DAC and network modules. Both products from the Scandinavian company are available now.

Wireless Speaker and Audio Association Confirms Certification for System Audio and Platin Speakers

The Wireless Speaker and Audio Association (WiSA) continues to announce the certification of new speakers. Immediately following the High End 2019 show in Munich, Germany, WiSA announced the certification of the Legend Silverback speakers from Danish manufacturer System Audio. Following that announcement, WiSA confirmed the certification of the Monaco 5.1 Wireless Home Theater speaker system from Platin, a division of Hansong Technology.

WiSA has announced that LG is adopting WiSA industry standards across its display product in 2019 (debuting at CES). As such, LG will leverage Summit Wireless technology and WiSA Certification to make their 2019 lines of OLED and flagship UHD LCD TVs ‘WiSA Ready’ and compatible with WiSA USB Transmitters as well as a range of intelligent, WiSA Certified speakers that together deliver unprecedented wireless sound for home entertainment. WiSA estimates up to 60 Million units of WiSA Ready platforms will be in the market during 2019.
