Lectrosonics Announces Global RF Scan Database for Wireless Operations

Lectrosonics created a Radio Frequency Scan Database for those using wireless microphone systems anywhere in the world. The database hosts scans from .sdf (Wireless Designer scan data file) or .csv (comma separated values) common standard file formats. These files can be used to populate frequency coordination software for analysis purposes and to know what a given RF landscape looks like and help wireless system operators prepare for a location or venue in advance.

Rohde & Schwarz and Cadence Design Systems have collaborated on a solution aimed at simplifying the engineering process from RF design to implementation and enhancing accuracy by using realistic signals for both simulation and testing. The new R&S VSESIM-VSS signal creation and analysis tool speeds up the development process for RF components and is particularly useful manufacturers of active components and systems.

Lectrosonics announced a return to the less-trafficked VHF broadcast band, introducing the IFB-VHF Wireless System, which includes the new IFBT4-VHF Transmitter and IFBR1a-VHF Receiver. The new wireless system offers 239 frequencies from 174 to 216 MHz and will be valuable for use in talent cueing and crew communications.
