Early in 2023, anyone with a Skull-iQ enabled Skullcandy device (Grind, Grind Fuel, Push Active) can simply say “Hey iHeart” for immediate, hands-free access to iHeartRadio’s expansive world of content without having to download the iHeart app.

Fluent.ai announced its collaboration with Knowles Corporation to deliver AI-powered voice control for True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds and other hearable products, fully on-device. Running on Knowles' AISonic processors, providing a small footprint embedded technology for edge AI, the solution allows developers to implement noise robust voice commands to trigger TWS actions in any language or accent, without the need for an Internet connection or accompanying smartphone app.

The new model ($179) was improved in every front and promised to be available in just a few days, which was probably the biggest surprise. Apple also announced new colors for its HomePod Mini smart speakers, while it waits for the Matter home standard to be released. And announced a strange Voice Only Apple Music subscription plan, including countries that don’t speak English.

Not many bought the first model anyway, so the announcement of the all-new second-generation Echo Buds is not that surprising, considering Amazon considers hardware as a pure extension of its services ecosystem.

Its claim to fame is a power saving architecture that enables battery standby life that otherwise would be unattainable without the "smarts." Sonion Combines Voice Pick Up Bone Sensor With Qualcomm Bluetooth SoC to Improve Speech Intelligibility

Sonion, the manufacturer of components and solutions for hearing aids and in-ear headphones, announced that it is now a member of the Qualcomm Extension Program and will offer the Sonion Voice Pick Up Bone Sensor on the Qualcomm Ultra-Low Power QCC5100 Bluetooth SoC series in Q1 2020. The combination will allow other audio manufacturers to implement reliable voice quality and voice recognition applications that are not hindered by surrounding noise.
