Rotel Michi Q5 Transport DAC Takes CD Audio To New Levels

Michi is a flagship series of high-end audio products built on the history and heritage of Rotel, designed in Tokyo, Japan. The lineup was now expanded with the launch of the Michi Q5 Transport DAC, intended to redefine the CD player experience with state-of-the-art technology and sound quality to please the most demanding audio enthusiasts. The new Michi Q5 merges the popular 32-bit Dual-DAC architecture from ESS Technology with the company's most refined top-loading CD mechanism.

The ISE 2023 show in Barcelona saw the OCA Alliance bring forward several new developments and announcements that will continue to push the horizons of the AES70 control standard. During the show, presentations, demonstrations, and new members to the trade association showcased current and future technologies and tools that will further broaden the Open Control Architecture (OCA) Ecosystem.

The OCA Alliance – the AV trade association formed to promote awareness, implementation and development of the AES70 open network control standard – has announced the release of the latest revision of the AES70-2018 standard with new developer tools and resources, making implementation “easier than ever before”. The result of several years of collaborative work within the OCA Alliance and the AES, AES70-2018 is an evolutionary upgrade to the original AES70-2015 standard.

Audinate announced the scheduled release of a firmware update that provides its Dante audio-over-IP networking technology with support for the AES67 audio networking standard. The company confirms that an update to its Dante Brooklyn II platform enables connectivity with AES67 products.
