Audio-Technica launched its AT-ART20 Dual Moving Coil Stereo Cartridge, the latest in the company's ART Series of high-end phono cartridges. The AT-ART20 utilizes Audio-Technica’s magnetic-core design to achieve "superlative" vinyl playback performance with "extraordinary musical realism," as the company describes. The new AT-ART20 cartridge (SRP: US$2,900) also has a striking, distinctive contoured appearance.

This Test Bench focuses on Eighteen Sound’s latest ND2T, a 1.4” neodymium compression driver, combined for characterization with the XT1464 elliptical-shaped horn, also from Eighteen Sound. This ultra-compact compression driver features a 2.4” diameter edge-wound voice coil wound with aluminum wire on a non-conducting Nomex former with a proprietary treatment. In this edition of Test Bench, Vance Dickason characterizes the recently announced SEAS L19RNX1 woofer from the company's new Prestige Titan Series. The L19RNX1 is the second woofer in this new 19 cm series of SEAS woofers, the first being the W19NX001 Excel Graphene-coated magnesium cone woofer. The L19RNX1 7” woofer uses a frame that is completely open beneath the spider mounting shelf, and with a small 12 mm diameter pole vent, so substantial air can be pumped past the voice coil and over the front plate. PSB Launches Performance Wall Mount Speaker Series

PSB Speakers announced availability of their PWM Series, a new range of high-performance wall mount speaker solutions. Three models comprise the series: PWM3 (USD $2,499 ea MSRP) PWM2 (USD $1,499 ea) and PWM1 (USD $799 ea). All can be utilized in horizontal or vertical positions for left, right, center or surround performance applications. Additionally, all three PWM models are offered in a choice of Satin White or Satin Black finish, to satisfy the most demanding design requirements.
