Following the announcement that Tymphany partnered with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS) in Germany to provide new state-of-the-art spatial audio solutions to audio manufacturers, Tymphany now confirms that at the CES 2024 show in Las Vegas, the two companies will demonstrate new reference designs for both headphones and speakers. These demonstrations will take place at Suite #26336 of the Venetian.

Fraunhofer Cingo and upHear Now Integrated with Tymphany's Peerless Flow DSP

The Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS), headquartered in Erlangen, Germany, and Tymphany have partnered to provide state-of-the-art spatial audio solutions to audio manufacturers. The two companies have worked together to integrate Fraunhofer's audio processing suites and audio technologies into Flow DSP, Tymphany's own DSP platform and design framework which allows creating immersive audio features in new audio products.

The C Series was created in 2018 through a specific custom development for performing arts venues, carried out in coordination with the technical sound team from the Paris-based Chaillot National Theater. The Alliance for Open Media is a non-profit industry consortium formed to develop open, royalty-free technology for multimedia delivery that can "serve as alternatives" to the Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG) standards. The organization is the creator of the AV1 Video Codec and now proposes an Immersive Audio Model and Formats (IAMF) Container Specification that the organization says will enable ecosystem-wide innovation in the Immersive/Spatial audio domain.

Neumann released MA 1 v2.0, the latest version of its MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment room correction solution, now with optional multichannel extension. In addition to many detail improvements, for the first time, the optional Multichannel Extension for MA 1 Release 2.0 makes it possible to align surround and immersive installations with the same precision. The room correction works up to 7.1.4 configurations, with all network-enabled Neumann KH Line studio monitors.
