Platin Audio Debuts World’s First Wireless Dolby Atmos Enabled WiSA Certified Speaker System

Finally! 30 months after the original announcement that the technology promoted by the Wireless Speaker and Audio Association would be able to support Dolby Atmos height channels, WiSA Technologies confirms that the new Monaco 5.1.2 speaker system from Platin Audio will be the first fully immersive, multichannel, separates-based home theater system on the market to be WiSA HT Certified and Dolby Atmos enabled.

WiSA LLC, a subsidiary of WiSA Technologies, Inc., announced that Hisense’s 2022 U7H and U8H Series TVs have earned WiSA SoundSend Certification. In 2021, the WiSA SoundSend Certification program was launched to ensure effortless and simple connection and interoperability between smart TVs and the WiSA SoundSend wireless audio transmitter. The Hisense U7H and U8H received the certified status after they successfully tested to work with WiSA’s SoundSend.

WiSA LLC, the Wireless Speaker and Audio Association founded by Summit Wireless Technologies, announced the launch of its WiSA SoundSend Certified program, a new certification initiative developed to work with TV manufacturers to ensure simple connection and interoperability with the WiSA SoundSend wireless audio transmitter. Toshiba is the first TV brand to deliver a Certified Product Family. WiSA also announced the launch of its own custom branded Amazon Storefront.

The Wireless Speaker and Audio Association (WiSA) announced the launch of Association member Onkyo Home Entertainment’s WiSA Certified Sound Sphere audio system. Sound Sphere is Onkyo’s first WiSA Certified audio system, delivering wireless, cinema-quality sound to the Japanese market and is bundled with the WiSA SoundSend wireless audio transmitter. The company promotes the solution touting the hi-res (24-bit/96kHz) wireless audio qualities and convenience for smaller homes.

Consumer electronics consortium Wireless Speaker and Audio Association (WiSA), announced that SoundSend, the Association's first branded product, is now available at $179 US MSRP. This means that consumer electronic brands can now offer wireless multichannel surround sound 5.1 systems hard bundled with SoundSend or co-promote with premium audio speakers or TVs. The new "hockey puck" device is truly a strategic product. It's a big deal for the promotion of the technology and for making WiSA truly mainstream.
