ROHM Announces New 32bit D/A Converter IC for High-End Audio Products

ROHM Semiconductor announced that it has developed the new BD34352EKV digital-to-analog converter IC (DAC) and corresponding evaluation board (BD34352EKV-EVK-001), supporting playback of high-resolution audio sources in high-fidelity audio equipment. Complementing its latest MUS-IC BD34301EKV flagship DAC, the new product was designed to maximally extract and convert high resolution digital audio data to analog audio signals in new product designs.

Japanese electronic component manufacturer ROHM Semiconductor has a strong connection with music and audio, being the source for a wide range of audio converters, amplifiers, and processors. Recently, ROHM started a new development project for a variety of new high fidelity solutions supporting high resolution audio. First in the new MUS-IC range and now available is the ROHM BD34301EKV, a 32-bit D/A converter designed for high-end audio designs. ROHM also launched the BD34301EKV-EVK-001 evaluation board available via distributor channels.

Luxman America announced the launch of its D-10x flagship SACD/CD player and USB DAC. This is the world’s first home audio component using ROHM Semiconductor’s eagerly anticipated MUS-IC BD34301EKV Delta-Sigma digital-to-analog converter. The D-10x also features refinements on the LxDTM-i disc transport mechanism and a new ODNF-u analog circuit. Other highlights include full MQA decoding and MQA-CD playback.
