Reason Studios Adds AAX Audio Plugin Support for Avid Pro Tools

Reason Studios (former Propellerhead from Stockholm, Sweden) released Reason 11.3, bringing the famed Reason Rack as a native AAX plugin to Avid Pro Tools music software. The announcement was made by Mattias Häggström Gerdt, Reason Product Manager, and underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to the Reason platform of instruments, plugins and music production software.

Following closely on the heels of the recent launch of Reason 11, simultaneous with the announcement of Propellerhead Software becoming Reason Studios, the Swedish company announced that Reason 11 is now available to an even broader host of DAW users – including Apple Logic owners – with the addition of AU support in version Reason 11.1. The announcement further underscores the significance of the launch of Reason 11, bringing the major update to Reason Studios’ flagship music-making software to a wider global audience of music creators.

In 1994, a Swedish company named Propellerheads setup to create what would become one of the most powerful music creation software platforms in the world. The company later changed its name to Propellerhead Software as it expanded its portfolio of software and technologies for musicians. Now, the company announced that it is changing its name once again to become Reason Studios, as it announced a major update to its flagship music making software, Reason 11.
