Knowles Precision Devices Introduces Three-Cell Supercapacitors

Knowles Precision Devices, a segment of Knowles Corporation announced that its latest EDLC (Electric Double Layer Capacitor) supercapacitor modules are now available. Based on Knowles' Cornell Dubilier brand DGH and DSF Series supercapacitors, these new cutting-edge capacitors use a three-cell package for higher operating voltages (at up to 9 WVDC) and allow for printed circuit board space savings.

AgigA Tech, a provider of high-speed, high-density, battery-free non-volatile memory solutions and a subsidiary of Cypress Semiconductor, announced the issuance of United States Patent No. 10,134,451 relating to the adaptive training and adjustment to changing capacitor values based upon age and usage behavior. The patent brings AgigA Tech’s portfolio total to 22 granted. Having focused on the development of non-volatile DIMM, or NVDIMM, and related technology for more than 10 years, many of the patents in AgigA Tech’s portfolio are fundamental to this increasingly pervasive product category.

A new low-cost, low-risk memory solution offering unlimited endurance and safe data storage at power loss is now available from Microchip Technology. This new I2C EERAM memory is an easy-to-implement, low-cost non-volatile SRAM (NVSRAM) that eliminates the need for an external battery to retain data. The new EERAM memory is ideal for applications that need to constantly or instantaneously record, update or monitor data including metering, automotive and industrial applications.
